MEDITATION
Kevala Kumbhaka
As part of class I teach kevala kumbhaka which is a bridge between pranayama and meditation and gateway to advaita vedanta.
I've found this to be a very useful technique. I only go as far as teaching Kevala Kumbhaka and no other meditation techniques. This is a great starting point for meditation, however if student's wish to delve further I'm more than happy to discuss with students and offer options in terms of paths they may wish to explore if wanting to deepen their meditation practice.
Meditation must be done with the guidance of an experienced teacher in this regard.
Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

Let there be thousands of kumbhaka in Hatha Yoga... kevala kumbhaka alone is highly esteemed.
In that best of kumbhaka, the inhalation and exhalation Are neither natural nor modified.
From the Yoga Tārāvalī by Śrī Aḍi Śaṅkara
bāhyābhyantaraviṣayākṣepi caturthaḥ
In the fourth method of Prāṇāyāma, one experiences Kevala Kuṃbhaka, which is the unforced (spontaneous) stoppage of breath resulting in
unprompted cessation of thoughts.
